FROM LIME GREEN RENTALS TO BRITISH BUILT ELECTRIC WHEELS
Before this build, Alex Hendy, better known as Schooner Scorer, was getting around London on Lime bikes. Fast, functional, disposable. They did the job, but they were never designed for someone constantly moving through the city, hopping between streets, pubs and locations all day.
So we decided it was time for an upgrade. From lime-green rentals to a bespoke, British-built electric bike designed specifically for how Schooner Scorer moves.
Designed for Schooner Scorer
This bike meets full UK electric bike regulations, making it ideal for daily urban riding with no licence or registration required. At its core is a 250W Bafang motor, limited to 15.5mph, delivering smooth pedal assist across five power levels. It provides consistent support through traffic, over inclines and across longer distances while still feeling like a bike, not a machine doing the work for you.
The frame is finished in matt black. Clean, understated and versatile. A colourway that disappears into the city when it needs to and still holds presence when parked outside a pub.
The seat is where the detail lives. A brown and tan café racer seat, hand finished with our mountain stitch. On the rear of the seat is the hand-embroidered Schooner Scorer logo. Built for comfort, designed to age well with use.
Power is supplied by a detachable 36V battery, offering up to 50 miles of range depending on terrain and rider weight. Fully charged in four hours, it is built to keep pace with long days and late finishes.
The drivetrain is E-Champ’s single speed derailleur paired with a Shimano chain, chosen for reliability and minimal maintenance. Everything about this setup is intentional. Fewer complications. More riding. Safety and compliance were non negotiable. The bike is fully MSDS certified with full hazard compliance, making it as robust behind the scenes as it is on the road.
